Re: Football Premier League 09/10- Discussion Thread

What a turn around from eboue. he was booed by us dramaticly last time we faced wigan and fast forward to today and he is being worshiped by us with a fantastic performance by him.

Now THATS how you responde to crisism. you dont respond by sulking like a kid demanding to bail out and escape the challenge of proving your doubters wrong and then stamp and kick your EX-co-workers.

I read an article this week how eboue was shocked at the manner in which Adebayor reacted last week and how he told him after the game that what he done was wrong and since then, Adebayor hasnt spoken to eboue. They was close friends before.

here is an article about adebaoyr and what a **** he is by his former collegue's

ALEXANDRE SONG last night piled into the Adegate row by insisting Emmanuel Adebayor 'kicked everyone' at Eastlands.

Gunners midfielder Song was a big pal of Adebayor before the striker's £25million move to Manchester City.

And Song reacted bitterly when asked what he thought of Kolo Toure's comments that no player had shaken hands with Adebayor in the tunnel.

Toure also moved from Arsenal to City this summer and Song fumed: "I think that Kolo is talking bull***t. He's talking nonsense.

"Ade was a 'big brother'. In London, I was almost living at his place, and he at mine.

"Once he went to City, it's true that our relationship was not what it had been before. I called him two or three times, and he didn't call me back.

"I'm not going to force him to do it. And I'm not going to have a laugh with him when I see him in the tunnel.

"Afterwards, on the pitch, he started to kick. He kicked everyone. That's not normal! He was aggressive.

"There was a free-kick in their favour and he slapped me. Coming from him - I couldn't believe it.

"Nobody doubts what Ade and Kolo have done for Arsenal. To say that the Gunners were not grateful to them, that's rubbish.

"I am surprised - nobody said anything bad about them, not the manager, not the players.

"Their reaction is abnormal. Kolo always was a leader on the pitch. He was always pushing us, all the time.

"I saw Adebayor at the end of the game and I talked to him. Calmly. The best answer for him would've been to do nothing.

"It'd have been more beautiful if he hadn't expressed his joy at scoring that way. I told him it was a really silly thing to do, really stupid.

"Yes, he disappointed me because the person I knew was not the person I met again that day."

Well guys a big match coming up today for Man United!! I think we can pull out the win though and if we play as well as we did against Tottenham then I see no problem. Its just the lack of consistency that irks me.

I agree, before someone mentions the added time, we destroyed them in the second half. The only reason they got close today was two classy moments by Bellamy and a very bad Foster (+1 mistake by Rio).

    We deserved to win.

Ferdinand must be breathing a sigh of relief.

Well taken goal by Owen at the end. Composed and a real poachers finish. United deserved to win the match.

I don't know if you deserve to win when half of your defence made such glaring mistakes, but you did create more clear-cut chances. 6 of one and all that. It would have been interesting if Adebayor had been playing, the form he's shown so far. That said, the desire from Tevez was outstanding. Well done to all the Man U fans for inspiring him so. You thought that one through well.

It's been fun as a neutral watching the last few Manc derbies. Quite open and entertaining.

Not fun for me, my heart sank to my stomach when Bellamy scored on the 90th minute.

Man City played reasonably well. They look very good on the counter attack but they need to keep the ball longer. In the 2nd half it was something like 70% of the possession to Man Utd. If they can do that then I have sneaking suspicion they may get into the top 4. They certainly have the players to do so.

I am a Arsenal fan through and through however would not mind City breaking in the top 4 or even challenging for the title this season. I tend to watch Dutch/German league more than the Prem for the last 2 seasons only for the fact that there is more competition. Wolfsburg and AZ have won the title in the Bundesliga and Eredivise respectively and I think competition will help the Prem!

Fulham have turned into a very solid team under *Woy* Hodgson at home and are hard to beat. Obviously we could break down the match and see we played rubbish but whats important is that we won. Hopefully we can string a run of wins over our forthcoming fixtures!

After watching the Arsenal game then the CSKA-Pool game, Arsenal have that crown by far! Is Vermalaen a CB or CF? Good to see Henry back at the grove. I think with everyone fully fit we have the best attack in the prem. Eduardo, RvP, Rosicky, Arshavin, Nasri, Fabregas with Vela, Walcott and Bendter available when we need to chase the game.
