    Conductive gel ?

Hello people. I'm looking to buy one of those EMS machines that triggers muscles to twitch (etc), but I read that they use a lot of conductive gel and water just heats up and evaporates quickely, does anyone know of an alternative to the gel please?

I dont even know if the machines going to work but it was less than a fiver! and i'm gotten so lazy that sit ups are too much effort, I dont have the strength to lift my belly blubber without aid!

    Re: Conductive gel ?

i and many others would disagree there. it worked for me, how can i be sure? i cant but my pecs were amazing after a period of 2 months (30 mins 2 x week slowly up to full power) + push-ups. the one thing i noticed was that after 20 mins of using the EMS i could simultaneously do pushups almost to bordem. 100 to 200. i was in good shape back then though.

in answer to your question, the cheapest and best conductive gel ive found is ultrasound gel (effectivly the same stuff) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ULTRASOUND-TRA...3A1|240%3A1308

ive used anagel for a few years now and its fine, minimum pain and cheap.

    EMS is like Slendertone?

If so, I would also disagree with the link (again real life vs google). My bro, a seriously fit person, used it on his abs, and after 3 days his abs shot out and I couldn't believe it worked "that" well, it was like a gimmick.

    So, they do work.

yes they do defo do something good, although some people think they can turn themselves into brad pitt by sitting on the sofa and eating pies while strapped to one.

i would recommend them in conjunction with other exercise.
