Fitness first short term gym membership

Does Fitness First offer monthly contract memberships ? If you are an existing member or a former member, would like your inputs.

I may leave my job soon , so not looking to tiep up for a 1 year contract. A month by month is what I need.

I believe the shortest membership contracts they offer is around 4 months. TheGymGroup if you have one near you do the cheapest no contract memberships that I'm aware of.

Occasionally you can pick up 10 free pass memberships from the various daily deal sites though so that could be another option.

You don't need to take a membership anywhere if it doesn't suit your needs, you should have a look on www.payasugym.com and see if they have gyms near you. They basically let you visit any gym you want and just do PAYG. It is a bit focused on gyms in London but try it and see if you get anything near you. Hope this helps anyway.

Fitness first rates in Central London are :

    £45ish/ month for 12 months + £40 induction session
    £55/month for 4 months package + £40 induction session

No wonder people choose to remain obese rather than going gym! It costs way too much!

I know you said that you didn;t want to be tied in, but I thought I would let you know that there is an offer on at the moment for £15 a month deals, depending on where you live. If you really are looking for short term - Try PureGym - See if they have one near you, they're cheap and open 24/7.

http://www.thegymgroup.com/ is the same sort of idea as PureGym, cheap and no contract.

Re: Fitness first short term gym membership

I'm one of those people who hates being fixed in a contract, I was with LA fitness and wanted to leave and couldn't till the end of the two years was up! I was one who promised myself that I would never sign a contract for that long. Recently i used http://searchgym.co.uk who offers single session pass all the way up to 12 month passes and even rolling contracts, as i get paid in cash when I get money i want to get my pass straight away. If there are any other sites which are like searchgym please let me know
