Why are people saying this is his only chance to win?
I don't think it is, I certainly don't think it's his best, playing Federer in the final is pretty much the worst final you could possibly have in my opinion.
I think he's still got time to win it.

Its because grass isnt his best surface , the home pressure - plus he usually has to go through 2 of the big 3 to win it .

If hed faced rafa in the semis, id wager rafa would be one the holding the trophy now - Roger hasnt beaten him in a slam in 5 yrs !!

Re: WIMBLEDON - Can Murray do it ???

That was a really painful match to watch

The first set I felt sick because Murray was playing really well and he might have actually done it then after the roof shut I was depessed because Federer came out like a man Possessed.

I reckon Murray will win a major but I reckon it`ll be the U.S. or Australian. HArd court is much better for his game and more importantly he`ll be far away from home that the weight of the nation wont be weighing down on him.

yup, his serving ( esp 2nd ) is still a problem though ..

He just had to get better period..

Pressure is not such an issue if you have good mechanics because then your shots become reliable and confidence builds.. ( esp under pressure )

I dont think Murrays forehand has the best technique though - theres hitch you see which means he doesnt really time it as well and prob explains why hes not so comfortable hitting harder..

In fact he had pass to go up in the 2nd set 5-4 and serve for it but he was too passive on that side and only half committed allowing Fed to guess right. If hed made it he could of gone 2-0 and who knows ...

I saw him in Washington in 2006 on hardcourt and saw that hitch for myself, I saw Fed against Agassi at the US in 2004 and was blown away by how effortless his serve and shots were , he seemed to be playing well within himself compared to Agassi - though it was Agassi who was really setting most of the tempo /pace.

Murray did well in the first set, playing aggressive. You could see Murray tryng to prevent him playing forearm shots.

Once Federer kicked in, he was on another level. Not many players who would match him.
