Just wondering if anyone else on here is into bodybuilding? I've been lifting quite seriously for just over 3 years now and I love it!

Same here, I too have worked out seriously back 08/09, and have sufficient knowledge on training/nutrition etc. Oh the good old 2009 memories. Working out on your muscles (obviously heavy weights on moderate reps/gaining bulk as you know) is the best sport to do.
I work out quite well three times a week. While I do not do it to get big and huge, more for fitness sakes and a form of exercsie, I do enjoy going down the gym. Take out my frustrations of the day on the weights. My highest bench was 100kg which I was very happy with.
I'm more into powerlifting than bodybuilding but I sneak in a bit of 'pump' every now and again .
been lifting for a year now and loving it.
I used to lift religiously, always avoided calling myself a body builder, but in hindsight I guess I was.
Now I can rarely get into the gym and all I seem to be able to do is maintain a base line of fitness and strength. Hopefully this will change next week when I move into my new flat with my fiancee, it has it's own gym!
She's particularly pleased as it means the weight bench will stay in storage and "not in my dinning room!"
Hi to all. I am also a great lover of body building. I want to be a bodybuilder so this information is useful fr me and i learned and will learn lot of new things.
done bodybuilding shows and won a power lifting comp. But to answer the main prob with bodybuilders today, they are like sheep, sorry but they are! They listen to everybody except their own bodies!
Never do 3 whole body times a week. Better off picking Mon and Thurs. Loads of time for rest and growth. When you are not getting stronger, growing, then it may be time to split things up or look to see if you ARE doing too much in the first place. Twice a week whole body does not need 20 sets for chest and so on. I would only do 4 sets max for each exercise, 2 exercise for legs, chest, and back, and only 1 for biceps, tri's and calfs.
I could go on, but listen to yourselves, are you eating enough, sleeping, and so on? Most people don't advance cos they do too much, rather then less - weights!
I, am categorically not into body building myself.
While I appreciate the pure definition of a really good stomach, or a superb set of shoulders or pecs (all of which, it has to be said, SeriousSam has.... I know.. he's a cvlose mate and has stayed over many times, and frankly looks superb) I can honestly say it's as much about food and rest as it is about work. So ladcrooks, blunt as he is, has a point. Not sure about the sheep comment.... don't think Lamb is a great food for body building
Rave... who I also know, has an different physique that involves large shoulders and an ability to lift stuff that should likely not be liftable.
so.. if either of them give advice I know it's likely right.
