Probably played my last farewell tour game, again, on Sunday.
Better game atmosphere, less cliquey, more people included. My first over bowling, huge humidity meant I could swing in or out at will - felt fantastic. Big edge/easy catch missed Nvm. Next over, last "batsman" is 13/14 year old girl. So went round the wicket to diagonally miss possibility of bowled and reverted to non spinning lobs. She hit every ball.
Third over, I got bored and tried to tweak some spin, second ball came back from 4 inches outside of off stump. Held my head in shame.
So, my last cricket bowl, is to bowl out a schoolgirl - is that a better, or worse memory than being hit for six off last ball of career?

Personally, I reckon if someone wants to play then let them play to the best of their ability, and you play to yours - if you let them have it easy they'll never get better. If it had been me, she'd've been getting big turning leggies round the wicket on leg stump, and I'd slip in the googly occasionally for the bowled/lbw (got my wife like that last time we played in the park ) I don't believe in giving much quarter, and hopefully she'll have learned from that dismissal! Always know where your off stump is.

So yeah, I wouldn't be ashamed of it. And if you do move up to Manchester we'll have to make sure you have some more cricket memories to pile on top of it

what is the cricket club in manchester? I didnt saw much that manchester name pop up in country cricket score card.
