I'll stick with my Lowa's thanks... Not sure about the looks of them - are they waterproof?

    Re: Supra Sky Boots

    oh yes

    so far so good

they look like waxed canvas but they're leather. The tongue goes right around the sides of my ankle and is all stitched in, with a pocket on both to carry small valuable items

The inner sole comes out (just seen it) and the soles have godo grip on wet brick path where my daily trainers let me slip around... so far so good.

just checked Lowa's.. this aint the Army son?

They're boots for daily life, I'd wear them to a restaurant and then up a wet forest track no worries.

    I got this colour

I can recommend Brasher walking boots(Hillmaster GTX). You can pick a pair up for £70 online. Indistructible, super comfortable, watertight. I've had mine three years, wear them all the time(stuff being fashionable!!!), and there's little signs of wear!

    now I KNOW they're good

the thing is while un effected by fashion on the whole, they still LOOK like hiking boots.

I want something for daily wear... and I'm pleased with these
