They definitely have the quality to stay up, they're certainly missing Kante alot more than they thought they would. He's in line to win back to back premier leagues titles with two different clubs.

Agreed. That guy is one of, if not the most important players in English football right now

Yes, could understand if Ranieri had been sacked in December.
Presumably the timing will have something to do with the owners finding a replacement - someone who has to work with the same lackluster bunch as Ranieri had.
I'm only sad as it looks like I'm never destined to see Brighton play at the King Power - though the game against Reading on Saturday might be the start of Brighton's campaign to secure Championship football for 2017-18.

as the resident Foxes fan on here - I'm sad for Ranieri but can't say I'm surprised. the club did give him time to turn it round. The narrow loss at Burnley (dubious reffing) didn't help, and perhaps a few things might have compounded to make a bad situation worse, but once you hit the rub at this time of the year, the boss is only looking at one thing - staying up. The loss of Kante was signed off by Ranieri - Kante was still in contract - and something is not right with the team as a whole. That has to come from the top - though I'm puzzled as to what has happened to make it that way. Benching Leonardo Ochoa hasn't helped, but there must be more going on. I'm not sure what however. Anyone with inisights do let me know.

Ik9000 - was chatting to a life long Lestah fan in Enderby, Don in his 80s, still goes to every game, home and away - he's happier, but rightly cautious. I think that they will stay up.
If you're ever out and about in town, you can spot me easily - I persuaded the staff to put the Brighton v Newcastle game on in the Fountain - not a good move
Talking of Newcastle, I would love it, I would luv it, if Keegan was their manager against Fulham today - hope they don't lose their Newkie brown ale bottle again - nah, I do hope they do really.
Come on you Seagulls and Foxes.

I'm just glad we didn't get Roy Hodgson. that would have been a disaster. Hull winning yesterday hasn't helped.

edit: just been through our remaining fixtures. given the number of away games and the teams left to play I don't think our fate is in our hands. mathematically it's still possible but I think we will depend more on the results of other teams than simply playing our way out of trouble

    It helped Hull

It's going to be an interesting run in again. Realistically, give Palace's game in hand, Hull are 3 points from safety still, but I believe we've still got several home games against other teams down the bottom end - and our home form's been good recently. *fingers crossed* it'll just about see us through...
