Anyone used Muscle Foods before?

As per title? Few of my mates rave about this but I can't help but think the quality of the meat can't be that great surely?

Apparently the breast of chicken tends to be bigger than your supermarket sizes?

Any input would be appreciated as I'm going to put a change in my diet and this stuff would be ideal if good stuff as I want to come off the processed/takeaways etc

I use Westin Gourmet quite often , which as far as I know is the same people under a different brand. The Chicken breasts are certainly a good size , and will generally include the "mini fillet" which the supermarkets like to sell separately.

I've not had a problem with the quality over the last few years.

Yeah I've used them loads.
Chicken is indeed bigger but you're still paying by overall weight (but less/no water?) I've had 2 bad lots of chicken though,got refunded easily enough each time.

The steaks are good,you can get bad batches though, a few we've had are below what I'd call acceptable levels of fat/indelible bits but overall I've had good experiences, the hache steaks are amazing, solid meat!

The exotic meat is good.

Check the deals though, a bulk pack isn't always cheapest (hache steaks as an example)

The point behind it is that it's solid meat, as opposed to 'water-inflated tosh', and that a lot of people can't get to their local butcher - or just don't have one.

Most butchers I've known do deliver, although 'local' is a relative term. Once upon a time mine was about 25 miles away (which is why they started delivering).
I still get certain specials delivered from from one of my old favourites, who is 47 miles from where I live now.

Website is just weird, though. I don't know if I'd buy foods like "freshly boiled eggs, ready peeled" from a shop that specialises in supplements, protein bars and posing clothing... It's all a bit 'Roid Ragey'... and their idea of "paleo-certified" meats sounds more like another marketing ploy than actually knowing what Paleo is.

If you're into all the protein bars and pumping iron and staying hungry, then perhaps this might suit... I dunno. I don't really Lift.

But if general fitness is your thing, I've known some of the fittest people on the planet and none of them had this stuff. In fact, most of them usually dined at various Army messes.

I've used them for a few years now and get almost all my meat from them. I go through 5kg of chicken breasts every month or so for my lunch and often buy mince, steaks and sausages. I've had a couple poor packs of chicken but overall I've been very happy. They have changed supplier a few times for the chicken and I think this is where the problems came from.

Delivery tends to be a week after you order, but you can pick the day and there is options to pay for morning / afternoon etc. Shipping box / packaging they use is good and you get 3 or 4 chill packs in the inner bag. I always feel bad binning it all as I've already filled all the gaps in my freezer with the chill packs; and it's a good sized box.

Some of the special offers they've run have been great, such as the Black Friday deal.

Ordered a few times. To be fair is good, price is reasonable. But it's just too much hassle for me. You got to sort out all the chicken breasts once it gets here, leaves a mess in the kitchen. And I always get this weird packaging/chickeny smell, not sure which, maybe both? You can't always rely on the ice packs, something can go wrong during transit.

All in all, just buy it from local butchers or supermarkets, not a big difference in terms of price/quality, and more convenient.
