Good Luck!
The problem is they are a complex array (not calling it a RAID because doing so would invoke concepts which don't apply) of battery of cells. They also generally have extra capacity than the host can address, and map it 'intelligently'. Some even apply compression too.
As such even a fractal style write and validate read wouldn't mean its working 100%.
What kind of issues are you suspecting? If its reliably broken you might be able to test it with the method mentioned above.
I just keep getting random program crashes and BSOD's. And before I RMA the mobo, cpu and ram I would like to rule this out.
I thought there would be easy ways of testing it :P Seems mechanical drives still have some plus points!
I could do that. I cant test the cpu, ram and mobo as I dont have another sandybridge rig but I can run it on a 500GB samsung and see. . . although my windows license is an OEM i dont think it will install in different hardware (another reason im worried if my mobo is faulty)
OEM is fine if you swap out the hard drive - you just have to activate (over the internet) again. There's no limit on activations and internet activation will be fine if it's just the hard drive.
Likewise OEM license accounts for having to swap out a faulty motherboard - you just have to activate again, being a motherboard it might require more than simple internet activation, but it's legal and doable.
Seems my license will be useless if my mobo turns out to be the problem though which is a shame. Ill give the HDD a try today then. Shame though, thought I could just run an error check to speed things up so I could rma the other stuff today :P
Thanks for your help
Did you overclock your cpu?
no all at stock.
Have a thread here running quite a few pages with latest info to the end.

I've just noticed that you can't change voltage on your CPU. I'm putting it down to your CPU not being stable, what is the voltage your CPU is currently getting? Do you have no other system which you can test your SSD with laptop etc?
boot from a cd and run a burn test on the cpu, takes the ssd out of the equation
