Please Help Me Pick an SSD

I've been waiting for the mobo I want to come back in stock at scan for a while. Today it's available so I went to fill my basket with the last pieces I need for my current build and assumed there must be a mistake with their HDD prices, £94.76 for a Samsung 1TB F3? My fault, I hadn't cought the news about the flooded factories in Thailand. I have the worst luck

I can't bring myself to fork out that much for a standard drive so I'm finally going to upgrade to an SSD. I've had my eye on a few different models for a while but need some help picking 1. I like the £100-£130/80gb-120gb range.

Here are the ones I've narrowed it down to :

OCZ Vertex 2 Series 120GB : £130
OCZ Agility 3 Series 120GB : £130
Corsair Force Series 3 120GB : £127.80
OCZ Vertex Plus Series 120 GB : £100

I've been through the sticky SSD review thread and I'm leaning towards the Corsair. That said the Vertex2 and the Agility review higher on google.

Please help me choose, cheers.

I have the Vertex 2 120Gb and love it.

If you have SATA 3 or plan on getting it in the near future the Corsair F3 would be the better choice, otherwise the OCZ Vertex 2 is my preferred SATA 2 SSD drive.

Cheers for help sam3 & CAT-THE-FIFTH. I've seen you recommend the m4 a few times on the boards and then found the ssd comparison on ocuk.

Went for the small 64gb.

I've got a couple of Mushkin Drives and can't fault them, support via their forums is also very good

The intel range are both popular and well supported, also very reliable, i have a couple of those too, one specifically for use on an XP machine that will allow the Intel Utilities to be used

All the SSD reviews I've seen highly rate the Crucial M4 128gb especially with the release 9 firmware...I shall be buying one for my xmas present to myself for building a bathroom from scratch

I would definitely add the Crucial M4 to your list of potential SSDs - it is one of (if not) the best SSDs out on the market right now - in terms of reliability and speed, there are no competitors. Read the benchmarks given for the Corsair Force Series, as well as the other OCZ models, and you will see that booting up, launching applications and gaming, the Crucial M4 is on top.

I have a a Crucial M4 in my laptop, and an Intel 320 series SSD in my main rig. I can recommend either of those, very fast and so far reliable. It has transformed both the machines!
