    SSD Enclosure

    Hey Guys,

After replacing my 64GB Crucial M4 with a 128GB one I was initially going to sell the 64GB drive but since the price of SSD seems to have come down a fair bit I'm starting to think that I might be better putting it in an enclosure and having it as a portable hard drive. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good enclosure for a SSD??

    Thanks,
    Rookie

    Re: SSD Enclosure

I like this one, easy to open and has both USB 3.0 and eSATA - also it is a little on the pricey side.

This TekNet USB 3.0 enclosure also looks pretty neat (built in cable).

Personally I wouldn't waste a small SSD as external storage, instead treat someone in the family/a friend to a super fast Windows on their old computer.

    Re: SSD Enclosure

I ended up getting this one from Scan and have to say that so far I'm very happy with it. The case (if it could be called a case) that comes inside the box with the enclosure is cheap and nasty but the enclosure itself feels very strong and well built, the speed I'm able to transfer files is truly amazing! I moved my entire music collection (50gb) from one PC to another in a matter of minutes!
