    Pny

    Afternoon all,

Anybody used products by PNY? Specifically their pendrives.
I have recently lost mine and need a replacement.
I saw this one at SCAN and it looks just what I need but I've heard very little about them.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

USB pendrives are (almost) all the same. There are some that offer 'extra security', but its normally software that you can get elsewhere for free. As for speed, the majority of all USB 2.0 drives are the same, but there is a little bit more variation with the new(er) USB 3.0 drives, if your buying from somewhere like SCAN these figures will be listed.

    Re: Pny

First of all, thanks Samwood although I was more concerned with build quality and reliability than speed which is much of a muchness where these things are concerned.

Secondly "I saw this one at SCAN and it looks just what I need but I've heard very little about them." Which one? I didn't include the link. How would anyone know what I was talking about.

This one is the one I am on about.

    Re: Pny

If it helps my daughter has had a 4Gb PNY stick for about 2years - banging around in a school bag etc and it's still surviving!!!
Just to help keep her sanity, if case she lost any school work, I have to remember to back it up for her though.
Definitely advisable for you as well, if you are going to keep 32Gb of data on it as well.
    Hope it helps.

Have used their SD cards often enough, no complaints so far.
