HDD errors.

Windows has started reporting HDD on my samsung F3. It randomly pops up asking me to back up all my data.

Sometimes its every half hour other times once a day or never. I use an SSD for OS and my most used programs. The samsung is for storage and less used software.

I downloaded seatools and ran all of the tests. No errors found. Windows tools can not detect any problems.

I should have about 2 months warranty left on it but I need to find any errors first. Is there any software out there?

I probably should try a different SATA cable

How would I go about getting that? Would it save it in the windows event viewer (which I may have turned off....)?

Speedfan, HDTune etc. should all show it.

HDD Scan should be able to create a nice SMART report and top of that do a surface check.

Ran HD tune; nice piece of software. It seems to think my SATA cable may be to blame so will change that when i can get round to it and report back. Thanks for the help chaps!
