    Crucial M500 240GB or Plextor M5P Xtreme 256GB?

    Hello,

I received today my new Crucial M500 240GB SSD in the post, and have also just noticed Plextor M5P Xtreme 256GB disks for sale at the same price.

From reviews, it seems the Plextor is a bit faster, with a longer warranty. Although I have no idea what their RMA service is like should I need to use it.

Do you think it is worth returning the drive for a refund and getting the Plextor instead?

    Thanks!

    Odai.

I doubt the speed difference will be genuinely appreciable, and personally I'd be more inclined to trust Crucial.

The warranty would be the only reason to swap in my mind, but I doubt I'd personally go through DSR for that.
