does anyone have any experience of this tablet? looking at potentially getting it (been offered one for under £90) for my son

with tablets that basic and cheap, the thing to look out for is if there is any rom development for it otherwise its limitations might become quite frustrating.

I couldnt find anything immediately on XDA however it might be a clone of another tablet which would mean it will work with another devices roms to a certain extent.

Personally i wouldnt go for it.

did get one and tbh its actually very very good , fast enough and its now running ICS and he totally loves it!
