Well be reduding our prices in line with the vat change, and adding the new models! Of course, for vat-registered buyers it doesn't make any difference. :-) If you need to buy BEFORE the change is evident, just call to confirm but we WILL make sure you are only charged the correct 15% vat. Change should be complete by lunchtime.

You can also buy direct from one of the main UK Thecus distributors. They often do special offers and offer either a two or three year warranty and UK based support. They also offer Thecus bundled with drives, namely Seagate and Western Dig.

I highly recommend thecus.expertsinstorage dotcom (sorry, can't post URL's yet) if you're in the UK or Ireland, they were not only the cheapest I could find, but their sales and customer services department are both second to none IMHO, they couldn't do enough for me.

I just bought one of the N7700's with 4x 1.5tb Samsung spinpoints for £1060.24 delivered (to Ireland), inc. installation and 48 hour burn in of the drives to ensure everything is working and they are even doing a free 2gb RAM upgrade.

the price for the NAS itself is pretty keenly priced compared to the likes of expansys (£704), pixmania (£810) and other places where I managed to find it, but the real difference (for me at least) was that I had huge problems with my credit card and it took 3 days to get those sorted (on my side) and the guys at experts in storage repeatedly bent over backwards to be helpful and communicative and really couldn't do enough for me, which is something you don't see often these days.

I'm pleased to say that all my (admittedly self inflicted) credit card issues are sorted out and my new NAS is winging it's way to me now.

I'll let you know how it goes when I actually have it in my hands and I'm sure I'll be active on the forums in no time as I'm a bit of a tinkerer, but IMHO if you're in the market for a multi-bay NAS you honestly couldn't do better than these guys.
