| N5200 Pro Photo Gallery module needed Is it possible to request for Thecus to include a Photo Gallery feature in the next firmware release of the n5200 pro? I would like to move my photo collection to the n5200 pro and have also it serve as a Web Photo Gallery. I see on the Thecus site that the n2100 already include the web photo server feature. I have seen a nice Photo Station 2 + video feature in the Synology CS407. Is the Synology software under GPL and can it be ported to the Thecus? | Re: N5200 Pro Photo Gallery module needed Oh, I ran out of room on the 5200Pro so went ahead and bought a DS508 tp sit next to it as well :-) Have been slowly moving 1/2 my contents from the 5200pro to the DS508. How do you find the Photo Station? Haven't found time to look at the Photo Station 3 as I am already using GalleryServerPro on my mini-pc. Are the album pages with the thumbnails cached or created dynamically? I wonder how good the performance would be if I move over to using the Photo Station as my collection of photos is quite large (~50000) arranged in a tree structure of sub folders by user / year / event. |
