    N1050 100GB limit?

I've seen a thread about someone formatting a 160GB disk and using it in the N1050. I thought there was a 100GB limit or can the N1050 take bigger disks?

100GB is a very odd limit, if it exists.

The specs on the Thecus website say "100GB and above" I belive it might have been written when 2.5" disks above 100GB were not around.

If there is a limit it will be around the 137GB, which is the limit of the old 28-bit addressing.

However I would doubt this as it is a relatively new product and should support 48-bit addressing.

    Hi,
Slypie - did that 160GB drive work ok? I've just got my N1050 and looking at putting either a 160 or 250GB in it. What brand did you get?

    Thanks

it wouldn't work for some reason. It said the device wasn't recognised. This was an old laptop hard drive so it could of been that (Can't remember what make it was).
