    New 5200Pro - FAN Warning

Getting a message on the display saying fan not working:

    SYS FAN: FAIL

Opened case, and can see two fans, that are both spinning, is there another fan?

Upgraded from the supplied 2.00.01 Firmware to 2.00.5 same error.

    Am I missing something obvious?

There are three fans in total. The main 92mm exhaust fan, one in the power supply and one on the CPU.

The power supply fan won't be monitored by the system, so it's just the main and cpu fans to worry about. make sure the three pin connectors are nice and snug. Only other thing I can think of is a hardware fault, either in the third wire from one of the fans, or the sensor hardware on the board.

Thanks, as I could see the CPU and big exhaust fan working, I went ahead and popped drives in and started formatting, so will be several hours. Will then check the connectors/wiring.

Re: New 5200Pro - FAN Warning

Had planned to change all the fans anyway, new ones arrived today and all swapped over, still error on SYS FAN. So gave all the boards a wiggle, and next power on no error. Boards must have worked loose when it was being delivered.

    Thanks again for the pointers.
