Newbie here with some N2100 questions
Right now it's in RAID 1 and on the network I can see 3 folders: iTunes, usbcopy and usbhdd. I understand what the usbcopy is for, but what about the usbhdd? And what benefit do I get from putting music in the iTunes directory? I don't use iTunes and don't plan on it.
What I plan on doing is accessing the music/files via a media streamer, but haven't figured out if a Roku or a Squeezebox would be better for me. Does anybody have experience with either of those and recommend one over the other? The Sonos is interesting too but very expensive. I like the looks of the Mediagate HD350 for video. So to start modifying things, where do I start with ssh etc? |

Re: Newbie here with some N2100 questions
iTunes directory : if you don't care about itunes server, it's just a simple directory.
usbhdd : will contain anothers directory called "1", "2", "3" which will be the usb storage peripherals connected to the n2100. usbcopy : will contain the files copied by the n2100 of an usb storage connected on the front panel of the nas by pressing the copy button. I don't have any music dlna cient, so I can't help you about that... SSH is usefull only if you plan to do some exotics things with your nas, it's up to you.
