    Hi,

Im considering purchasing one of these boxes from the guys at Scan. However my major concern is wether this unit supports drive spindown.

Ive heard that if your normal power management settings are set to spin down the harddisk then it works (via OS feature) or does the unit have its own internal routine for spinning down the drives?

A quick reply is appreciated 'mouse pointer hovering over buy button'

    Re: N2050

    Dear Sir,

Due to N2050 is Direct Attached Storage device, on theory we could adjust the spin down period from HOST PC, but N2050 is an hardware RAID device, which means the HDD operation control via RAID chip, thus we afraid the N2050 doesn't support this function.
