Thecus N4100 Problems

Ok, i`ve got the n4100 and was able to login in to the browser and go through the setup but as soon as i updated the firmware i no longer have access to the browser.i have connected the Nas direct to my pc and i can still not log in through browser the thecus login page never comes up since i updated the unit.i try and reset the unit but nothing happens if it does show up on my network it is still called the same as what i renamed it to through the thecus setup. when i goto my network ,and doulde click on it there it comes up with the ip 192.168.2.4. but it just won`t take me to the thecus login.all i can see is a printers .i have gone through the flow chart and everything is fine all the lights are ok.the unit runs i just cant access it .

Dear Sir,

Please refer to N4100 simple diagnosis flowchart to verify possible damged parts or resert to factory default and try, and contact with your Thecus reseller for RMA service directly.

ok i can now see the thecus in my Network and when i click on it i an see a printer.i still cannot access the web browser ,i`m running windos vista 32bit. is there anything else i`m missing i turn off all firewalls and antivirus .. all i keep getting is internet exploerer cannot access the page..

If reset to facotry default doesn't working, even remove all HDDs but get same result , please contact with your Thecus resller for RMA service directly.

Welcome to the club! Same here. For some reason the default name is Thecus_N4100. In the new Firmware update says...
Known Issues: #6 Web GUI : Can not login Web UI when the NetBIOS name is with an underscore.

So im in the same boat as you. So I can't access the web gui to change it.
Very nice. I'm glad they released this Firmware knowing that the default setup has a Underscore in it!!

Is there a fix or a way to correct this without having to send it in?

I found by Downloading the latest Installation wizard for setup that you can remove that " _" underscore.
also when logging to the box. type in https instead of the http (if thats the ip addy you have set) i found that after that i could login again provided i added the new Certificate. if you need more help feel free to email me. phinx404@hotmail. com
