N4100+: full iptables functionality needed

Hi,

is it possible to compile iptables to have full functionality on Thecus N4100+ (Firmware 2.00.05)?

When using the filter functionality I always get following error message:

iptables v1.3.1: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

I've tried to compile my own iptables but without success (maybe I got the wrong arm-toolchain or something like this).
Is anyone of you experienced in compiling code for N4100+ ?
