    n299 iTunes issue

    i have been happy overall with my n299 - despite the lack of spindown, and have been using it as a house music/video/file server.

    Recently I have been unable to access the iTunes folder (I access it via the standard afp interface on Mac OS X) and so have been cut off from my music files, which is a bit tedious.

    I connect to the server via 192.168.1.100 (LAN) and it seems to be connecting, but the after some time is says that it has failed to connect.

    All my other folders work just fine, it is just the iTunes folder. All my ports to and from 192.168.1.100 are open.

    What could be causing this? I have had previous issues with the iTunes folder where it simply disappeared for no apparent reason, but this is something else.

    Once I fail to connect to the iTunes folder, I can no longer connect to any folder. This is not an issue with my computer, it happens on all the computers in my network.

    Please help!

    OK.

    I see you got a switch or hub. So please try to connect the N299 via WAN port to the switch.
    (remember IP adress to change)

    There seems to be a protocol problem on the LAN port.
