| N5200 PRO lost raid My N5200PRO gave a warning on Disk 4 and then declared the array damaged and showed a red warning light on the left side panel, but no warning on the actual disk lights. I have hot swopped a new drive of exactly the same specification which has an OK status in the disk information. I was expecting the N5200 to automatically rebuild the array. However, it gives the error in the log of: 2008/07/02 21:50:29 N5200 : Swap Disk Damage 2008/07/02 21:49:00 N5200 : N5200 boot 2008/07/02 21:48:59 N5200 : Degraded and can't create RAID ,auto stop RAID [md1] 2008/07/02 21:48:57 N5200 : mdadm: failed to RUN_ARRAY /dev/md1: Input/output error 2008/07/02 21:48:57 N5200 : Assemble RAID [md1] from [ /dev/sda2 /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdc2 /dev/sde2 ] 2008/07/02 21:48:56 N5200 : Degraded and can't create RAID ,auto stop RAID [md1] 2008/07/02 21:48:55 N5200 : mdadm: failed to RUN_ARRAY /dev/md1: Input/output error 2008/07/02 21:48:55 N5200 : [Disk sde] UUID[raid5;2a73d955:ac586bd9:68bbc683:0c15f1df;Mon Dec 17 22:05:27 2007] 2008/07/02 21:48:55 N5200 : [Disk sdc] UUID[raid5;2a73d955:ac586bd9:68bbc683:0c15f1df;Mon Dec 17 22:05:27 2007] The machine status is now Raid: NONE Is there a way to recover and rebuild the original raid array (RAID 5), or how can I rebuild a new array? Firmware v2.00.01. |

| Re: N5200 PRO lost raid Hi, Was there any solution to this problem you experienced? It just happened to me last night. I also had that message about the swap disk damage and unable to mount RAID Now the RAID array seems gone. I've contacted Thecus but still waiting for advise. Gabriel |
