Angry GPL Violation by not providing firmware source for N299?

    Hi,
as Thecus does not respond to user needs of this little gadget and even is deceiving them by not providing advertised feature there might be capable users willing to improve the firmware.
Thecus provides the source of firmware 1.00.24 as required by the GPL but yet has not provided the sources of the stable firmware 1.00.26 (although on the attached CDs for months) nor of the later beta firmware until 1.00.32 (don't even think about any docs...).
I think this is a violation of the GPL. Thecus should provide the source for the current firmware 1.00.26 as well as for the lastest beta. What do you think?

    Regards
    Peter

Re: GPL Violation by not providing firmware source for N299/N...?

    Yvon,

same applies for the other devices. FW 2.00.10 for N5200 is out for some time now and the GPL source is still missing ....

Please make sure that the GPL source packages contain all changes to GPL licensed code - not doing so will violate the GPL.
