My thecus is having more problems...

i can view the home page via the internet browser
i cant log in. and it says i need to set up raid
i cant see it on the thecus set up wizard
and i cant connect to it via networked drives...


looks like thecus has FAILED again...

remind me next time not to buy this ****ty brand with so many problems and poor customer support

All sounds just like: I don't know anything about what I am doing with a NAS at all and I never read any instructions about a product.
Before you may succeed, you have to know what you are doing, at least, what you want.
Basic understanding about networking is a must here. It doesn't look like you ever would have investigated in learning it.

Hi Anyone (Thecus support)

It has been a while i must say i am not really using the N299 at all - the key problem i have is it doesnt talk to the PS3.

I note in an old Thread that someone suggested it wasnt a licencing problem, it was a programming problem and he said he found away around it if your guys could fix it????

Can you tell me if there is a fix for this as the key point of this unit is to allow all those things in the house to talk to each other.

Please reply if there is a fix or if there will be a fix in future - this point will dictate whether i ever buy Thecus again

Current the N299 V1.00.31beta2 supported JPG/PNG/WMA/MPG (MEPGII) for PS3, since we enabled the Media Servcer function, please leave few mintunes for system to listing playlist.

Hello Yvon,
You posted back in January that you were trying to resolve the issue of PS3 support. Will this firmware allow the playback of MP3 and MP4 (divx), because without this then the N299 is useless to me beacause I bought it specifically to stream MP3 and MP4 to a PS3!

Hi i tried this firmware upgrade on PS3 and got media server ERROR DLNA protocol error 501 occured - i updated to latest PS software please advise what this error is.. ..... I used the latest firware you posted above... Thanks to recheck and confirm
