N7700 - Why NSYNC has only "full copy function" no incremental since 2.01.08 Since 2.01.08 Fw Thecus removed "incremental" function in NSYNC! ![]() Whats the reason? I'm using two N7700 with 7x 1,5TB Seagate (each about 2000 Euros). My second N7700 is only for backup N7700 A (Media Files), because "Raid is no Backup". Now NSync takes about 26 hours for "sync / copy" ca. 5TB of Media-Files to NAS B That could not be a solution If Thecus could not solve this with their own Programm they should integrate a commercial like Qnap has it in their OS. The products are expensive enough regards

Re: N7700 - Why NSYNC has only "full copy function" no incremental since 2.01.08 You might want to use the RSYNC module - this gives You all possibilities. I do with these modules every 4 hours a incremental synchronisation between a N7700 (source) to a N5200 (target and backup). The con of this solution is, You have to do the basic setup via linux console commands. br Peter

Re: N7700 - Why NSYNC has only "full copy function" no incremental since 2.01.08 Sorry, but I'm a Linux noob. "root knows what to do..." Is it such a great prob to make a GUI for rsync, or interate it in the Thecus 7700 interface??? Could not understand, why the manpower at Thecus is not enough to make such an integration. Because in 2.01.08 beta nsync was within the incremental-function br
