N8800 problems with FW 3.00.06 (Ajax)

    Hello,
after updateing to FW 3.00.06 i suffer from following problem:

I am running 5 Samsung 750 GB (HD753LJ) as Raid 6. After FW update randomly 1-3 drives are marked as defective. Rebuild is not possible, since rebuild process crashes and GUI becomes irresponsible. A test of the disk with the vendor tool (hutil 210) shows no problems! The disks were running perfectly with old firmware 4 months without any problem in N8800 and in a N5200Pro for more than a year.
    All data was lost.
Anybody any idea what to do in order to solve that problem?

    Greetings,
    RĂ¼diger

UPDATE: After reboot it also has just lost the second RAID5 out of 3 Seagate 1TB ES.2. "No RAID defined".

Re: N8800 problems with FW 3.00.06 (Ajax)

Since we could not afford the down time any more, we replaced the Samsung disks by Seagate ES.2 (now 8x ES.2 1TB) yesterday - but it did not bring any relieve.

The N8800 froze always when creating the raid (only power off was possible), the raid became degraded and disks dropped randomly (were marked red and after reboot the are "ok" again, but others fail).

Therefore the N8800 is unusable at the moment. Any try to create a Raid6 was unsuccessful.

Thecus support is informed and all data is provided.
Now we have spent a lot of money and time but still we are offline.
