Fixed the issue that firmware upgrade from 2.01.06 to 3.00.08/3.00.08b caused admin GUI inaccessible. (Only for N7700 and N8800. SAS/PRO models started from firmware 3.00.03/3.00.08 and without this issue)

b. DLM function in FW 2.x.x will no longer exist in new FW 3.00.06. A new DLM2
with DHT support for BT and eMule will be available by end of September or
early October ’09 through Thecus module installation interface.
c. For N7700SAS and N8800SAS, the DLM2 module v1.0.5 will not work since new
FW 3.00.06. Please do remove it before upgrading. The new DLM2 module
v1.0.9 will be available by end of September or early October ‘09.

the v3.00.08c for N7700/N8800 has the same error like the v3.00.08b is not possible to connect to the system via ssh or webinterface

same problem as in FW 3.00.08b. Again the N8800 became inaccessible and all RAIDs were lost.
We had to downgrade to 03.00.08 with Peters script in order to regain control over the NAS.

As I have already pointed out in the thread "N8800 unresponsive, no raid, no log in after update 3.00.08 > 3.00.08b" we absolutely disappointed about the poor quality of the last FW releases. It is the 3rd of 4 firmwares, which turned the NAS into useless piece of metal. That is absolutely in acceptable. For heavens sake Peter has written the script to downgrade the FW otherwise this would have been the 3rd RMA.

Have you upgraded the firmware directly from V3.00.08 to 3.00.08c via Web UI or via the USB patch
provided by Peter.

Dear Ivan,
we have updated from 3.00.08 to 3.00.8c directly via Web UI, since 3.00.08b crashed the NAS.
We used Peters script only to fall back to earlier FW 3.00.08, which is the last working FW version.

I am having the same problem. Updated from .07 to .08c and can't access the admin page or any data. I am new to this forum (just joined after having the problem). It seems there is a script from someone to downgrade? Can someone point me toward that?

For those who have had this issue and then downgraded, was you data still intact?

Can anyone who is running 3.00.08c comment on its stability and reliability? That is once you've been able to get it running.

I am working through the upgrade problem (same as many -- can't access after upgrade). I am wondering if I should be working toward getting 3.00.08c running or toward getting the previous version running.

I greatly appreciate any thoughts or experiences.

As an update for those interested I was able to get my system running again. We installed v2.01.09 via USB (as desribed on this forum) and regained access to the system. We then used web feature to upgrade to 3.0.0.8c.

It seems Thecus has replaced one problem (can't upgrade v2.01.xx to v3.00.08b) with another problem (can't upgrade 3.0.0.7a to 3.0.0.8c).

Now that we have the system working, we are very nervous of quality as it seems this release was not fully tested. Does anyone have probelms with .8c once it is actually running?
