TV Sound

Hey, I have a Technika 19" LCD TV from Tesco.

It comes with a "Sound Box" in which the sound is outputted. I want to wall mount the TV, so the problem is that if I take the sound box off the tv (which I already have) I won't have sound.

What are my alternatives to getting sound out from this TV other than that box?

Presumably there is an audio output on the TV somewhere other than the connection for the mount speaker - take the output from that and feed it through some active (powered) speakers.

It then depends on how you're wall-mounting the TV and where you want to place the speakers..

Is that the speakers? or just a iPod dock? built into the base?

Looks like an all in one unit - there's a ribbon cable & connector in the middle of the photo which I suspect does both the TV sound and the dock controls.

Looks like more hassle than it's worth tbh.

I'd vote with wiring through external speakers. Hoping for a cable to arrive tomorrow so I can play PC/TV sound through an unnecessarily large set of Hi-Fi speakers. Surround Sound FTW!
