47-55" TV For Gaming and Movies, Impossible?

So I'm trying to replace the rather old and rubbish TV in the living room at the moment but I'm running into issues finding one that doesn't have bad input lag.

I was scarred by my last TV purchase, a 42" LG TV because it has 51ms input lag which I find makes it completely unusable. Gives me a headache after a while because my brain is trying to counter the lag VS. my mouse movements. Not fun. Even worse is the Input lag is 151ms when you turn the TV on unless you change to a different input (then change back if you were on the right one in the first place). A bug they clearly have no interest in ever fixing (which puts me off buying an LG TV at all).

Anyway, I've been checking around sites like RTings, DisplayLag and HDTV-Test which would all be fantastic, except for the fact that none of the TVs that rate highly on any of those sites seem to be available. Either they were never available in the UK or they simply aren't sold anymore.

My budget is ideally <£900 and I actually don't care what features the TV has (not interested in any of the SmartTV features). I'm just looking for a quality image and low input lag (<30ms) but I'm really, REALLY struggling to find anything.

    Any recommendations or ideas?

Just in case anyone's interested, I'm pretty sure I've found a viable option, the Sony Bravia KDL50W829BBU.

Game mode on the Samsungs seems OK. Got a 2 yr old 46 inch 8000 series and a 40 inch new 6000 series. Both are fine

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.
