    OC'ing Value Select

Is it possible for me to OC my Corsair value select from 533Mhz to 667Mhz with some RAM heatsinks?

The only way to know is to try. However, the VS line is not made for OCing so the heat sinks may not make a difference.

Heatsinks vary wildy. The big Thermalright ones will make a large difference in temps, but if you're spending £5 expect £5 of improvement.

Your overclocking will be more affected by the yields about the time the chips were made. During good yields there's often very little difference between the value lines and the high end overclocking stuff.

Value select tends to be pretty good RAM so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Good luck.

    Re: OC'ing Value Select

You may also have to relax the memory timings if you have the option in your bios!
