    Value Select Question

Hi, I know value select is budget RAM but whats the difference between value select and normal RAM. Is the quality rubbish or is it OC'ing abilities are limited. I'm wanting to buy 2GB RAM for my laptop as cheap as possible but buy a named brand and not unbranded rubbish. I'm a little worried about the quality of value RAM.
