    wtd: PCI graphics card

As per title, nothing special, just needs to be about 4mb or more and be compatible with windows XP.

    Cheers
    Chris

Actually no. I'm running a dyno at uni but the ecu software requires more than 800x600 mode. As i've only got a 1mb card in at the moment I can't get more than 800x600, which is really annoying.

    Howard,
    Thanks for looking for me.

OK well all I can find is a "Cirrus Logic 5446 Compatible" which doesn't seem to want to go higher than 800x600x16bit with the default XP drivers, maybe it needs drivers, I dunno, and an S3 Trio that seems to be capable of the same... I reckon it's drivers.

You can have them both for £8inc if you wanna try them but I can barely find owt on the net :|

Thanks for looking but if I recall the S3 Trio is only 1mb as standard and the cirrus logic one I'm pretty sure is even older. I really need at least 2mb, preferably 4.

As I said, thanks for looking but it's not really what I'm after to be honest.

    Cheers

I have a few old PCI cards but they only have half a meg each of memory.

What would suit you would be an old Voodoo 3000 PCI with 16Mb of Ram on it, or maybe a Matrox Mystique. Have you tried Ebay?

It's odd, you can't give that old stuff away until somebody wants one, I saw one guy having a real problem finding a 5.25" floppy drive when he had to restore a customer's data when his old drive failed. How many of those got binned?

I was thinking voodoo banshee actually, as I said I don't need anything really good. Actually an ati rage II would probably fit the bill pretty well.

    Cheers

Hmm, shame, I recently sold a PCI Banshee. The only other "decent" PCI card I have is a Geforce2MX, and that's needed for my other PC

I'll let you know if I find anything else
