Phase Change Unit
Id really like any phase change unit, Prommies or Vapochills.
Id prefer one with a case (original or otherwise) and im on a very tight budget so probably only older or less powerful models. You might aswell try me with anything you've got though! Thanks a lot. |

Seriously this is something you really need to consider as a top thing because as fun as they are they can also be expensive to run and maintain if something goes wrong.
If you haven't used watercooling before or something more hardcore than a heatsink consider going that way first .: Predator :. - Shuttle SN25P - A64 3700+ San Diego @ 2.7GHz - 1GB PQI Ultra DDR - X850XT - Asus DVD-ROM - 200GB Maxtor + 2*80GB SATAII -

Put it this way I have done a full loop now, I have done the extreme air, high end watercooling and now on phase change but my next box (in the next month) will be air cooled again.
It is quite a lot of maint to get them performing a1 all the time and unless your into serious benching then tbh its not really worth it imho. I have gone from Mach I to Mach II to Mach II GT and whilst the results are extremely impressive its a bit of a bitch for everyday use. I would do lots of reading up at extremeprometeia and over-clocks forums before you decide for definite. I know Phil who runs EP-UK now just uses a laptop rather than a full prommi setup. Lots of the people on O-cUK that had them have got rid of em for standard air cooled boxes... Watercooling whilst needing maint isn't anywhere near as intensive. .: Predator :. - Shuttle SN25P - A64 3700+ San Diego @ 2.7GHz - 1GB PQI Ultra DDR - X850XT - Asus DVD-ROM - 200GB Maxtor + 2*80GB SATAII -
