| Usb stick Have had my 1gig pen drive for a while now but its also been broken for half the time, never got round to replacing it, im pretty sure its a manufacturing fault as the usb connection has come clean out of the rubber housing, look like 4 points of solder have broken. Any ideas as to what to do. |

| Re: Usb stick How old is it ? Is it still under warranty ? Probably need to prove in some way its a manufacturing defect. Probably best to contact who you bought it from first and if no luck the actual manufacturer themselves. |

| Re: Usb stick All EU electromics get a 12 month guarantee. if you got it from maplin under a year ago and its genuinely faulty (not due to user error or general wear and tear) then Maplin will repair it (or if its unrepairable, give you another / similar one / cheque) but you will have to wait ages to get it. Go to the store you got it from with your reciept and tell them you want to RTX it. Make sure you speak to the manager. |

| Re: Usb stick That's exactly why I would hesitate to buy Corsair. Lovely products but if they don't support them over here they're no better than a Hong Kong eBayer. | Re: Usb stick Solder them back on? What do you call "for a while"? TBH you're probably best off just buying a new one. Things move on so quickly in the world of USB sticks you'll probably find you can buy an 8Gb one for the same price you paid for your 1Gb.
