fastest core 2 duo processor
Hey, guys...
im new to the world of building computers, and wanted sum advice on wat wud be the fastest processor in the intel core 2 duo range. im looking for at least 3GHz. thanks |

I presume he's refering to overlcocking, with a dell you're pretty stuck, unless you gor for that h20 jobby wwith ceramic/water pre-overclocking!

The E6850 Is the fastest of the core2 duo range at the minute, with a 3Ghz clock, and sells for around the £170 Mark.
You could also have a look at the new extreme x6800, which unfortunately retail at just over £600, and runs at 2.93Ghz. |

Indeed, however i suggest that for the price of an E6850 you could get Intel Quad Q6600 which has more power and is arguably more versatile, its your choice though (im a Q6600 fanboy lol).
