Re: Hi All...
hello azrael316.. welcome to the new look HEXUS..
is it shiny enough for you? have fun and don't wait another 4 years to do another post.. (if you take the red metal plates of the front of your xaser3 it improves airflow reducing temps by about 4deg C.. thats if your 'my system' info is correct and you still have that case) |

Re: Hi All...
just for you..
you don't need a dremel.. just undo the screws/bolts.. i still have the swingy door at the top, without the red plate on it.. at the bottom.. all thats there is the plastic 'big door' complete with the metal plate that has the hinge attachment for the top door on it.. you'll soon find out when you take it apart.. remember to unplug the thermaltake logo LED first though.. i snapped the wire and ripped out the power connector on mine. also broke the hardcano controller too - but thats a different story.. and its the hardcano that said the temps had gone down 4deg.. the probe was wedged next to the heatsink on my athlon.. so its pretty accurate.. (the speed holes in mine are on the top near the usb, big dent gone right the way through - it was a big hammer though) you should be left with 2 square holes and a small rectangular at the bottom, and see the fan filters. like so.. ![]() orange tint is my light. panda lives on case, he eats coc chip and oranges.. like an occasional chin tickling.. (now you know why I need these rests now and again - i'm a wee bit bonkers..) |
