    rover 45 overheating

can any one help me please? with overheating problems as i start the car and after running or idling for 20 to 30 minutes the temperature gauge flies to the maximum(red mark), and boils the coolant and when i unplug the fan from the teperature switch the fan works fine and the engine cools down and temperature gets back down to the normal, i have also replaced the tempreature switch but did not make any difference, this car has only done 35k miles some people suspect head gasket failure but most think that it is something else as it is not losing any coolant at all.

    thank you for helping

Hello mate, probably not the most useful place to ask as you'll more than likely not get a positive response. However, try posting again here:
    http://forums.HEXUS.net/hexus-automotive-cars-bikes/
in tha Automotive/Pitstop section or alternatively ask a Mod to move this post to that location.

Good luck & welcome to HeXus
