    new phone time...which windows phone?

So, Apple dropped the ball this year and totally forgot to release the iPhone 5.

No big deal - there are plenty of other phones out there, right? Problem is that since i've been in the apple iOS ecosystem for so long, i've lost track of what they are.

I know one thing - simply not android. I love HTC Sense, I really dislike Android and it's entire ecosystem/premise. so none of that. A pre would have been a great option, but well..at the moment thats not looking likely. So I guess thats Windows Phone 7 then.

So what are the best options for a windows 7 phone? Any news on new models that may be coming out in the next few months? I am about to get an iphone 4 (or 4s, same thing near enough) from work so my existing purchases won't be a complete waste, hence why I am considering a jump to something more "fun".

Any recommendations? What's the highest end Win Phone out there atm? I'm considering the 7 Pro (I miss my old touch pro!), or a HD 7 but it seems a bit old..may be best hanging on to my iphone for a bit and waiting for Nokia's big reveal..who knows.

    Ty for any help

edit: Actually, looks like the Titan is the one to go for..so this thread /may/ be kind of moot.

The Titan, as its name suggests, is pretty large. If it's too large, I think they launched a Sensation WP7-type phone at the same time... Radar, that's it.

With WP7 you really don't need much in the way of hardware the OS is constantly fast on low end stuff.

I'd recommend picking up one for about £200 off contract, or negotiating one for no more than £25pcm on a 12month.

You really, really, don't need to spend £400 on a phone....

The LG optimus 7 is still around £160 on amazon.de, I got mine there and it was a very painless experience, all I had to do was change language on startup and convert the plug to UK. It's a great phone and as theanimus says, they're all pretty much fast enough, I never feel that my phone is lacking even though in terms of the CPU it's pretty basic compared to the latest bleeding edge stuff.

If you look at his sig Nibs; HTC Titan X310e (Windows Phone 7.5)

Guessing he took the plunge with the biggun. Still has a very good camera apparently.

I had a go on the HTC titan yesterday in car phone warehouse, I gotta say - the huge screen really makes the tiles UI a great experience.

And the screen viewing angles etc, great...seems to be a updated SLCD screen (compared to the sensation etc)

The new Nokia range (lumia) look really interesting. Not too sure about the design personally.
