old 6.1 apps on mango ??

Have a TP2 pro for work and have to run a 6.1 app on it - do the new wp7-7.5 allow you to install old windows apps and work ??

No, WP7 doesn't have compatibility with Windows Mobile 6.5 apps and older unfortunately. I think your best bet is to check if the app developer that made the 6.5 app has made one for WP7 (or going to make one). WP7 has been around for over a year, so it's not impossible in my opinion.

Will never happen unfortunately as the app was developed specifically for company I work for by developers long gone

Gave up looking for ways to get the app working - so bought an S2 instead

Could still be worth seeing if your company can afford a freelancer for a week or two to try to redev the app to WP7 or Android - if it's that important someone else is bound to want it sooner or later...

Not a chance with the company I work for - its a big multinational computer company and the app is a worldwide one for the mobile workforce - they don't spend money on technology for their employees at all !! Not a very good advert for a hi tech company (that's name is also the same as a brand of sauce)
