    Windows Phone 8.1 Cyan

Got it last night. Took about 45 mins for total install, which was surprising, but might be due to tight squeeze on my overcrowded Nokia 925. Only about 800mb free

Afterwards, had about 1.4gb free, which is cool.

Like the improvements. Lots to enjoy - better options from the downswipe at the top of the screen, more options for pinning, new camera (tho the user reviews are generally negative). Accuweather not working at the moment, tho just a matter of time, I assume.

    Likey likey

One can never stop saying Thank You

Does the music player work properly on 8.1? I am getting fed up with duplicated track titles or completely lost albums with WP8.

Yes and no, it's basically a complete re-write. The main plus is they have a much faster release cycle, the dev preview (which anyone can join really, not just devs, it's an anyone preview) has been seeing fortnightly updates.

The downside is it sucks, it's sluggish, flakey, it's like using android. But it has better features when you are using music you've ripped yourself, rather than using music pass.

    Re: Windows Phone 8.1 Cyan

I have been using Windows Phone 8.1 for a week now as my new Lumia 930 arrived a week ago and so far I really like it. I need to get more music on my phone but I love the shuffle feature, I've had a couple of times when it has been behaving a little odd, such as the volume would randomly just drop to 0 for no apparent reason, so it would get to the end of one song and then I'd get silence even though there is no way the volume control could have been activated and also when I have too many apps open it seems to stop the Nokia Here Drive+ navigator from updating properly while I'm driving.

I use the diary feature a lot and have noticed that I have to add an hour to my appointments and then as soon as I save it the appointment will have an hour taken off to set it to the time I wanted it, this use to happen in Windows Phone 8 too I was hoping Windows Phone 8.1 would fix it.

The new 8.1 update is a welcome addition, glad to see custom backgrounds added to the home screen.

I'm still on WP8 at the mo, wondering whether it's worth upgrading. I use the music player on it a fair bit. I've seen a fair bit of griping on wpcentral.com about various aspects of 8.1.

    Re: Windows Phone 8.1 Cyan

I've upgraded my Lumia 620 to WP8.1 a couple of days ago and I must admit I really like it. The UI feels even more slick and various upgrades such as to the camera app are better in my opinion plus the many other features.

So the 830 has been released, the 830 comes with 'Denim' firmware. Hopefully it won't be too long before that is pushed out to other handsets, as Denim includes a few cools features, mostly around the camera, that I am looking forward too.

I see what you mean about XBox Music, it is sluggish/laggy. I thought I might be due to the limitations of the Lumia 620 originally. I have a class 10 micro sd in there too.

I also bought an album on Xbox Music, that now doesn't play on my WP and doesn't even appear in my collection on Xbox Music on my Xbox 360 either. I did receive a receipt though and I logged into my MS/Zune/Outlook account and it does appear there. I'll probably need to raise this issue on Xbox.com

You would have thought MS would try and get there act together since they're trying to go the multimedia route now, not just focused on gaming.
