    Question Can’t find a decent alternative Quick launch/Dock for Windows 7 64Bit?

Hi all, I have been having big problems with my PC crashing like twice a month at random times. So i have decided to bite the bullet and format/reinstall windows 7 64Bit
and now making sure i am not installing any software that is not 64Bit compatible such as "rocketdock" which is what i use to use as a quick launch bar for windows 7

It worked well but it kept coming up with errors in event viewer so don’t really want to stick it back on as the site states it’s not compatible with 64bit OS.
    http://rocketdock.com/

Does anyone know of any other dock software that i could use that works with 64Bit OS?

Looked at ObjectDock which looks the same but that also states that Windows 7/XP/Vista (32 bit versions only) http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/

Please post and would be interested to see what you lot use any way on your desktop.

    Cheers

What's wrong with the dock/launch that's part of Windows 7 (taskbar)?

    Not customizable for my needs
This Nexus is better than any of the previous ones I’ve used before!

No no, it states it's not supported, which is very, very different.

Plenty of people are using RocketDock on 64-bit systems.

Random crashes are more likely to be hardware or driver related. In theory RocketDock itself shouldn't be able to crash a system.

Well was not to happy with all the error messages i was getting in event viewer regarding rocket dock. On the plus side this Nexus software is much better and can do lots more.

As long as my PC stops crashing im happy but time will tell. Im hoping that a fresh install of windows 7 has fixed it other wise time for a new MOBO.

I installed nexus dock thing last night, seems to work well on my rig (win7 64), no crashes, hangs, etc. I also have stardock fences installed and they both work well together, the double click to clear in fences is rather nice with nexus dock displaying cpu, memory, network usage on my 2nd screen. Also have apod sorting out astronomy wallpapers.

Looks like Version 2.0 (beta for Pro at least available) will have 64 bit support.
