    Outlook 2013 annoyance

I've just changed to Win 8.1 and Outlook 2013, and have discovered something really annoying.

I have access to another mailbox, but when I try to reply to mail in here, it sets the sending address as my main mailbox. I've checked in Options and the 'Send from Default' box is unticked. Anyone come across this issue before, and if so, how did you fix it?

    It's really grinding my gears...

In Outlook one mailbox is always default, you could try showing the From field (New Mail, Options, Show Fields, From).

That should show you the mailboxes you can send from, or allow you to enter another value.

    Re: Outlook 2013 annoyance

Yeah, I've done that. The issue is that before I went to 8.1, if I replied to an e-mail in the group mailbox, the From address defaulted to the group mailbox address. Now, it defaults to my personal address. If I replied in 2010 to an e-mail in a group mailbox, it sent as the group mailbox address as well...

You can use multiple .pst files (one per account) to set the default from.

If you don't want to do that you can set a registry value to always use the default account, regardless of the data store, or to always ask which account to use.

There is a guide with downloadable registry files here if you choose to go that route: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/out...fault-account/
