    Cheap Windows 8 - 8.1

    Hi guys,

    Just curious if you can get Windows 8 cheap as a teacher? Legitimately of course. I was luckily able to get Office 2014 for only £8.99. Just curious if there is a similar Windows deal?

    Cheapest I can find is quite expensive!

    If your institution is registered with Dreamspark Premium https://www.dreamspark.com/Instituti...scription.aspx you will be able to get it free. As an OU student I have to buy Office (at nowhere near the discount you got), but get OS licences free.

    Seems that my school isn't a part of that, nor the council local authority.

    If they aren't part of that check with the IT team, there are educational purchase schemes that aren't in the main 2 (Dreamspark is more higher education)

    I say IT team as they will probably know if they are in such a scheme and have probably used it themselves

    Awesome, just downloaded Windows 8.1 from Dreamspark. Didn't know my university was part of that. Pity they don't have office though, got lots of other stuff. Will be letting my classmates know about this for sure.
