    Right Place?

Don't know if this is the right venue - might be hardware, might be soft. Anyhew, trying to burn a cd-r from mp3s downloaded from internet. Downloaded the files, converted to WAV files and then used FinalBurner to burn the Memorex CD-R. Works ok when I insert the cd-r in the computer cd player - but on the car player it only plays a couple of minutes of the first track and then quits midstride. Doesn't seem to recognize the other tracks either. Any wisdom?

Well so long as those files are legally obtained, there's a few things you can do (this is in the order I'd try).

    1. Try different recording software, I always use Burrrrn for that task
    2. Write at a slower speed, say 16x or so - seems to help when playing in older players with weak lasers or dusty lenses.
    3. Try different media - Memorex don't strike me as particularly high quality
    4. Get a new car

All great ideas - particularly #4 - I tried the first 2 and it appears to be successful. Thanks!
