What are your favourite backup programs, and why?

Veeam Endpoint Free gives you a number of points in time you can restore in a single step without having to mess around. Even though its an image level backup , you can still pull individual files out of it. It also uses changed block tracking , so the incrementals are pretty small.

Yes I know I work for Veeam ;-) but I had to use it myself yesterday after my OS SSD died on me.

The Endpoint backup product is for physical machines, the regular free Veeam Backup is for virtual only.

As Splash said - Endpoint is designed to back up Windows 7/8 on a physical bit of tin ( also supported on server 2008/2012 btw ) The free version of Veeam Backup & Replication is for VM's only.

I've used carbonite for years now for around 1TB of data which is mainly family photos/videos and some encrypted account and password stuff for personal backup.
