    Win 7 region limitations?

Does anyone know whether Win 7 is region-locked? Specifically, can someone in Canada install a version of Win 7 bought in the UK on their system?

    Any help much appreciated! Thanks.

I'm fairly sure it's not region locked. I have activated UK licences in Australia but did have to go through the telephone method
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

The 'region locks' are typically far more of a problem for those in Eastern Europe and Asia using software from North America/Western Europe than it is in the other direction, and that's almost always in terms of activation/license keys than it is the actual software. You might also find it more difficult to activate software purchased in certain countries (say, India, where it's typically 20% or more cheaper) outside of those countries.

Otherwise, the software is, for the most part, region agnostic, as long as it's legal to sell/purchase it there.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I thought. I know about the problems with Asia and Eastern Europe (and South America, I believe) but googling 'win 7 region lock' just brought up endless links about DVDs.
